Requiem to Steam.

Iron beasts, Steel wheels
Riding on silver rails.

Silver rails, Cross the land,
Lying on beds of stone,
Iron beasts run, By driver's hand,
Boiler fires are fed, And have grown.

The valves are open, The pistons fly,
Steam hisses & whistle blows,
In his throne, Driver sits up high,
Train speeds as the pressure grows.

On the rise, The loco slows,
Puffing, Puffing, Pulling it's load,
Driver smiles, For he knows,
He will speed, After he's slowed.

After dark the light shines bright,
Whistle sounding, Loud & strong
Feel the power, The loco's might,
Keep firing the boiler, the ride is long.

The hissing beast, Rides fast & true,
Water & coal, Make the steam engines fly,
Head to the depot, Make her look like new,
So she shines under the infinite blue sky. 

This is a little something I came up with during the morning of New Years Day after doing a marathon of old railway videos, just a little something different, I hope you enjoy it. ^^
